RBS teams up with Fortis

Tesco PF (Personal Finance) has teamed up with Fortis as an insurance partner for its half a billion pound business.  Fortis, a significant European insurer based in the low countries.  The new relationship will cover car and house insurance products.

The press articles suggest many jobs will be created by the new relationship although it is not clear whether any will be lost as a result of RBS (UKI) no longer being involved in the supply of insurance.

Recently Tescos opened its first financial services store within a supermarket selling mortgages, credit cards and insurance products.
